Joe founded the company in 1991 and has worked tirelessly to make JWS the best in the industry. He has transitioned away from a full-time technician to effectively focus on administrative tasks, however he is still involved in almost every facet of our day-to-day operation. Joe enjoys spending time with his family, a nice beach day and an occasional trip to Foxwoods.
As Director of Operations at Joe Warren & Sons, Chris is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the company. Additional responsibilities include business development and vendor relations. Chris holds a degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management, and he is one of Joe’s three sons working with the company. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
Joan is a born organizer who enjoys coming to work and getting things done. She values the relationships she has with the people she speaks with over the phone, as well as her coworkers. Joan grew up in West Roxbury, graduated from Mass Bay in Wellesley, works in Norwood and enjoys many weekends at the beach in Hull, which shows how much she values the area. She loves spending time with her growing family, while she also likes to travel and read.
As our Service Administrator and Office Manager, Kim has worked at Joe Warren & Sons for over 10 years and oversees many day-to-day tasks including customer service, obtaining flame permits, training new employees and answering the phone, just to name a few. Chances are if you have used our services before, you have been in contact with Kim. She loves music, Disney World, craft breweries and watching her daughter play softball.
As Assistant Director of Operations at Joe Warren & Sons, Sean is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the New Hampshire office. His responsibilities include managing service contracts and handling PM proposals, as well as working with Chris on building relationships with new customers, manufactures, dealers, and equipment Reps. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
Steve brings over 20 years of industry experience into his job as a Service Manager. His knowledge of Boston’s cities, food equipment, manufacturers and vendors allows him to excel in managing our technicians’ schedules and our clients’ needs. Steve’s patience and adaptability are key factors in his success. Steve enjoys spending time with his family and fishing during the summers, as well as an occasional ocean cruise in waters far warmer than the Boston Harbor.
Mike joined the JWS service team in April of 2017, bringing with him 11 years of facilities management experience with a strong concentration in refrigeration service. His main goals consist of great operational execution, efficiency, and ensuring customer needs are met and expectations surpassed. Mike has his MS in Operations Management and when not working is an avid league bowler and family man.
Betty teamed up with Joe at the very beginning and has been a major part of our company for over 25 years. She has worked in all aspects of billing and serves as our HR Department & Controller, as well as many other roles. Betty loves spending time with her grandchildren and is rumored to be a terrific cook. She may also be the biggest Red Sox fan out there!
Steve joined our Parts Department over a year ago, bringing with him 18 years of quality experience in the industry. He spent a lot of time as a technician which has boosted both his knowledge in the functionality of food equipment and his understanding of the parts he researches. During his time as a technician, Steve performed many repairs at restaurants and businesses located on Cape Cod, a place he enjoys spending his time. He also likes fishing and spending time with his family.
Adam has been a part of the Parts Department for over 8 years. He graduated from Blue Hills Vocational Tech, and since joining our team he has continued to build upon what he learned at school to become our main resource for refrigeration parts and quotes. He also helps maintain our refrigeration inventory and serves as “the phone guy” for our technicians’ Smartphone glitches. For fun, Adam loves spending time with his daughter, playing intramural softball and dabbling in video games.
Nancy has been a part of Joe Warren & Sons for over 15 years and is a staple of our Billing Department. She ensures that each invoice is tailored to the needs of our specific accounts so we meet all of our clients’ guidelines. Besides sarcasm, Nancy enjoys sharing stories and recipes with her coworkers, and she also likes an occasional glass of wine and a good book.
Andrew works with parts orders, equipment quotations, our PM program and oversees a variety of projects within our company. He has worked with our company for 8 years and is our youngest team member. He enjoys new challenges and always gives his best effort. Andrew is an avid fan of basketball and enjoys traveling and trying new things.
While Fred is one of our oldest employees, he hasn’t shown it (although he’ll certainly tell you about it!). Fred works hard to maintain our inventory, receive all incoming packages, order in all filters for our PM program, and do anything else asked of him. His time as a technician and ability to learn our computer system has made him a very valuable resource for our parts department. Freddy is a team player that always tries to pass on his knowledge when the opportunity presents itself. He enjoys traveling with his wife, pitching horseshoes and spending time with his dog.
Michelle has taken on much of the responsibility of our Warranty Department, while she also is a part of our Billing Department. Our warranty work is one of our fastest growing branches of business, which is evident as we continuously increase the number of manufacturers for whom we represent as an Authorized Service Agent (ASA). Michelle submits all warranty claims and often serves as a liaison for our customers and manufacturers during the warranty process. She enjoys going for walks and football Sundays, and she is always in the loop when it comes to the local news.
Mike has been a member of the Parts Department since graduating from UMASS Amherst in 2008. When processing parts orders and quotes, Mike knows where to find the best deals and prides himself on saving our customers money. He is an avid sports fan, his two favorites being football and hockey, and he worked as a hawker at Red Sox games for some time. Murph is also interested in history.
Patty joined our team a few years ago and is a part of quite a few things. Her main responsibility is maintaining the research and equipment summaries included in our PM Program. This consists of researching the parts our technicians list in the PM books, providing pricing and sending the books out, in addition to creating a service call or new unit quotation from the books when necessary. Patty likes the busy atmosphere of Joe Warren & Sons as well as her coworkers. She enjoys entertaining friends and family, in addition to weekends of camping and boating in the summer.
Jim previously worked as the Parts & Inventory Control manager in the Norwood office and has been with Joe Warren for more than 12 years as a service technician. He has prior experience in the food service industry when he worked in San Antonio, Austin and Omaha to name only a few places. He recently was offered the opportunity to move to the NH branch where he is responsible for operational support for the office and technicians. He handles New Hampshire inventory management, daily parts orders/quotes/proposals, and answers the phone. He enjoys motorcycling and photography.
Nick has recently joined the team after having held a few positions within the foodservice industry. He receives the equipment deliveries and daily packages, as well as fulfilling parts orders and quotes. Having a positive, hardworking attitude has allowed him to fit right in with his coworkers. Among his favorite activities are going to the gym, enjoying time with nature, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and of course spending time with his fiancé.
